We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a full-time contract position for a duration of 18 months, offering an exceptional competitive hourly rate. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify expense reports, and manage timely vendor payments.
Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end closing procedures, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
Data Integrity: Maintain precise financial records and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies.
Tax Support: Assist in preparing documentation for GST/HST filings and corporate tax returns.
Administrative Support: Help the senior finance team with ad-hoc reporting, financial analysis, and audit preparation.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA Track: Enrolment or intent to enrol in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) is highly valued.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables); familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is an asset.

Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
