Description

The Business Development Manager – Travel Services is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the organization’s travel services business development activities. The position focuses on market expansion, strategic partnerships, revenue growth, service development, client acquisition, and operational performance. The Manager exercises managerial authority over staff, budgets, business operations, and strategic initiatives within the travel services division.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company’s travel services portfolio and market presence.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams within the travel and tourism sector.
Lead negotiations and maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, destination management companies, tourism boards, educational institutions, corporate organizations, and government agencies.
Direct and oversee provincial or regional travel services operations to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and performance targets.
Establish annual business growth targets, sales objectives, and operational performance indicators for the travel services division.
Manage departmental budgets, revenue forecasts, financial performance reports, and resource allocation activities.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of travel consultants, marketing personnel, client relationship officers, and administrative staff.
Design and implement marketing, customer acquisition, and client retention strategies to increase market share and profitability.
Analyze market trends, industry developments, competitor activities, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making.
Develop and maintain strategic alliances with international partners, educational institutions, immigration service providers, tourism organizations, and corporate clients.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, company policies, contractual obligations, and service standards.
Prepare and present business performance reports, market analysis reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Lead recruitment, training, mentoring, and workforce development initiatives within the travel services division.
Manage risk assessment activities and implement mitigation measures to safeguard business interests and operational continuity.
Represent the organization at conferences, trade exhibitions, business meetings, and stakeholder engagement events.
